Winter Art

This past week, students put the finishing touches on their Jen Aranyi inspired artwork!  In this piece, students explored showing perspective with the foreground, mid ground, and background; used shading to show shadows and depth on their mountain range; and then used a wet-on-wet watercolour wash to blend the sky with either warm or cool colours.  Their results are stunning!  Students then created an "Artist Statement" where they titled their work and reflected on the process.  We invite you to take a gallery walk the next time you're in the building!
